Can you texture over wallpaper glue. Dif gel does work but it s pretty sloppy. We definitely agree that this can be a tedious part of the job but this part can not be overlooked when removing your wallpaper. Before you can skim coat wallpaper with a layer of joint compound you must test the procedure in a small area. Wash the walls using a hot water and soap solution to soften any remaining glue.
